Creating a Place with a Polygonal Geofence

To create a Place with a Polygonal Geofence, start by navigating to the Places menu item in the left-hand menu of Gimbal Manager. Once on the Places page, click on the button labeled, "New" in the header.

Let's walk through the steps to create a polygonal geofence.

Polygonal Geofence

Creating a polygonal geofence is very similar to creating a radial geofence with one small difference as you'll see in Step 4 below.

Step 1: Under the place detail section, enter a name for your Place

Step 2: Within the Geofence section, click on the button labeled, "New Geofence"

Step 3: Either navigate the map or enter an address to zoom the map down to the location of your new geofence.

Step 4: With the map zoomed in, click on the polygon icon  in the top right corner of the map and draw your geofence. To modify the polygon simply drag any of the white dots to adjust the shape of your geofence.

Step 5: Click on "Create Place"
