Creating an application

To create a new application in the Gimbal Manager, navigate to the Applications tab in the left menu and then click the "+ New" button in the header.

Creating an iOS application:

Step 1: Enter in the name of your application

It is important to Name your apps with the appropriate naming convention.  This app name will be the key identifier of your app throughout Gimbal Manager (including Dashboard reporting).  Always label your apps with “iOS” or “Android” and identify your true “Production” apps separate from your “Test” or “Dev” apps.

Step 2: Select the iOS option under "Platform"

Step 3: Select the Category for your application

Step 4: Enter the Bundle ID

Step 5: Click the Generate button 

Upon clicking Generate, the system will automatically create your Gimbal API Key. Quickly obtain this key and view the details of the application by clicking on the your application in the main Applications page.

Creating an Android application:

Steps:

1. Enter in the name of your application

   It is important to Name your apps with the appropriate naming convention.  This app name will be the key identifier of your app throughout Gimbal Manager (including Dashboard reporting).  Always label your apps with “iOS” or “Android” and identify your true “Production” apps separate from your “Test” or “Dev” apps.

2. Select the Android option under "Platform"

3. Select the Category for your application

4. Enter the Package Name

5. Decide whether or not you would like your application to support Android 4.4.3/4.4.4. More information here

6. Click the Generate button

Upon clicking Generate, the system will automatically create your Gimbal API Key. Quickly obtain this key by clicking on the your application in the main Applications page.
