Creating a Place

To create a Place with a Geofence, start by navigating to the Places menu item in the left-hand menu of Gimbal Manager. Once on the Places page, click on the button labeled, "New" in the header.

Let's walk through the steps to create a radial geofence.

Radial Geofence

A radial geofence is the more simple geofence type and only takes a few steps:

Step 1: Under the place detail section, enter a name for your Place

Step 2: Within the Geofence section, click on the button labeled, "New Geofence"

Step 3: Search for and enter the address for your new geofence

By default, radial geofences have a radius of 50 meters. Simply drag the radius slider to adjust the radius of your geofence.

Step 4: Click on "Create Place"
