Best Practices for Organizations

Do you service multiple companies or brands?

Organizations are often created at the Company level, so if you are an App Developer Company, you will want to create separate Organizations for each individual Company’s application.  Similar if you are an umbrella Company, you will want to create separate Organizations for each of your individual brands. If you are a singular Enterprise or Publisher, you will want to create one Organization for your company.  There is an option to add multiple apps within one organization.

Do you want to restrict Production capabilities?

If you want to restrict your users from Production capabilities, it is best to set up two Organizations, and only add your production app to one Organization with those allowed the rights:

1. Organization Name – Production (only a few select users will be able to publish to your app)
2. Organization Name – Sandbox Or Test (users will not be able to publish to production app)
