The "Unauthorized" error message in the Gimbal Beacon Manager app generally appears if your beacon has not been activated in the Gimbal Manager web UI prior to using the Gimbal Beacon Manager app. Once the beacon is activated, you can then use the Gimbal Beacon Manager app to configure the beacon. Assigning a configuration indicates to the server that you want to apply that configuration to the specified beacon.

If the beacon is still not being detected after activation:
- Power cycle the mobile device
- Verify bluetooth is enabled
- Uninstall/reinstall the Gimbal Beacon Manager app and try configuration again.
