Yes, if the app user has opted into both Location Services and Notifications for you application, Communicate notifications will be delivered in any app state (foreground/background/swipe-closed). For use with BLE beacons, bluetooth must be turned on for the mobile device
- The beacon is configured to work in the background. For instance, a Series 21 beacon in its default configuration
- The beacon is in a place and you’re triggering based on the arrival to that place
- The place does not have RSSI place attributes set (which can effectively limit the range of that beacon/size of that place), or if you do, you realize that an arrival won’t immediately +trigger when the SDK sees the beacon but only after it sees it strongly enough (greater than the RSSI threshold set for the place)
- The app has been launched at least once previously
- The communicate is set properly to trigger on arrival
